Dhaka, Sep 22 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy skies with rain and thunderstorms in Dhaka and surrounding areas on Tuesday.

According to the six-hour forecast issued for the period from 7:00am, rain or thundershowers may occur in Dhaka and nearby areas.

The department said winds may blow from the south or southeast at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour during the period.

Daytime temperatures in Dhaka are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

At 6:00am on Tuesday, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.8 degrees Celsius, with relative humidity at 83 percent.

The previous day's maximum temperature was 36.7 degrees Celsius, while Tuesday's minimum temperature was 28.5 degrees Celsius.

No rainfall was recorded in Dhaka during the 24 hours preceding the forecast.

The sun is expected to set at 5:55pm on Tuesday and rise at 5:48am on Wednesday.
