Due to the effects of Cyclone Remal, strong winds and rain are affecting Pabna, causing trees to be uprooted and fall onto roads, disrupting traffic. In Faridpur Upazila, tree blockages on roads resulted in a three-and-a-half-hour halt in vehicular movement.
 
From after midnight on Sunday until the report was written at 9 am Monday morning, strong winds and heavy rain have persisted. People are only venturing outside when absolutely necessary.
 
The stormy weather has caused trees to fall in several areas, particularly on roads, hindering transportation. Large trees have fallen in several places on the Pabna-Baghabari road in Faridpur Upazila, stopping buses traveling to Dhaka from Chatmohar, Bhangura, Faridpur, and Pabna. This has created a long traffic jam. Later, firefighters arrived to cut down the trees and clear the roads.
 
Huday Hossain, a passenger on Shahjadpur Travels heading from Dhaka to Chatmohar, told Voice7 News, "I was returning home by bus from Dhaka. Around 5 am, when the bus reached Kashem's Bat Tola in Faridpur Upazila, we saw large trees fallen across the road. The bus driver called Triple Nine, and the firefighters came to cut down the trees and clear the road."
 
Sheikh Farid, a driver for Shahjadpur Travels, told Voice7 News, "The large fallen trees on the road made it impossible for vehicles to pass. Many vehicles were stuck. We had no choice but to call Triple Nine for help. Firefighters arrived and cleared the road by cutting down the trees, allowing us to continue our journey. Traffic was halted for about three and a half hours."
 
Altab Hossain, Station Officer of Faridpur Fire Service, told Voice7 News, "After receiving the call on Triple Nine, we reached the scene around 6:30 am and started working. A huge tree had fallen onto the road, blocking vehicle movement. After much effort, we were unable to remove it ourselves, so we called in local workers with saws. With their help, we cut down the tree and restored normal traffic flow."
