Dhaka, Nov 10 (V7N)- A total of 191 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) platoons have been deployed across Dhaka and other regions to reinforce law and order, according to a statement by BGB Headquarters Public Relations Officer Md Shariful Islam on Sunday morning.

Since the Awami League’s removal from power through a public and student-led uprising on August 5, the party has refrained from holding public events. However, for Noor Hossain Day, they have called upon their leaders and supporters to rally at Gulistan’s Zero Point for a 3 p.m. march, an event announced on their official Facebook page.

In a counteraction, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has declared plans to oppose this gathering, organizing their own assembly under the Anti-Fascist Resistance Platform banner at Zero Point, beginning at 12 p.m. Reports indicate that members of the movement began arriving at the location throughout the night.
