Jhenaidah, May 25 (V7N)- National Citizen Party (NCP) Joint Member Secretary Tarek Reza has been granted bail by the court in a case filed by Jhenaidah Chhatra Dal.
He was released from Jhenaidah District Jail at around 10:30 am on Monday (May 25), after securing bail from the Jhenaidah Chief Judicial Magistrate Court earlier in the day.
According to court sources, lawyers for the accused submitted a bail petition during the hearing, after which the court approved bail for Tarek Reza.
However, the court rejected the bail petition of Yubo Shakti central leader Ayan Rahman Khan, who was arrested in the same case.
Earlier, on Sunday evening (May 24), police handed over both accused—Tarek Reza and Ayan Rahman Khan—to the court following their arrest in Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station case proceedings.
Legal proceedings in the case are ongoing, authorities said.
