Dhaka, Oct 02 (V7N) – The head of the Special Branch (SB) of police, Additional Inspector General Md Shah Alam, has stated that former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal departed the country through illegal means.

In comments made to the media yesterday, he remarked, "I came across reports that several individuals, including the former home minister, were spotted in a park in Kolkata. The immigration police have no record of how they arrived there."

He emphasized, "Given that the immigration police lack information regarding his exit, it is presumed he must have used an illegal route. He could have walked, taken a car, or crossed the border by land unlawfully."

The remarks follow a report from a private television channel indicating that multiple individuals, including the former home minister, were seen at Eco Park in Kolkata.
