Kurigram, Feb 24, (V7N) - A case has been filed against Nahid Hasan Nalej , a teacher from Chilmari in Kurigram, for posting insulting remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and declaring hadiths as fake and forged on social media. The case was filed by Golam Mostafa at Chilmari Model Police Station after a protest rally by Tohidi Muslim people on Saturday evening.

The accused, Nahid Hasan, is a resident of the Rmna Mistrypara area in the Rmna Model Union of Chilmari. He works as an assistant teacher at Char Shakhahati Government Primary School and is also a member of the Bangladesh Shilpi Kalyan Trust Board.

According to the details of the case, Nahid posted a comment on Facebook insulting Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He also shared a screenshot of a post by "Rakhah Rahaa" on Facebook, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was once again insulted, and hadiths were called fake and forged. Nahid's post was considered an attempt to cause harm to the religious sentiments of Muslims and create social unrest.

The complaint also states that Nahid posted these comments with the intention of causing economic gain and spreading false information on social media using his mobile phone and the Facebook account of "Rakhah Rahaa." The post was designed to hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims, stir communal tensions, and disrupt public peace.

In another Facebook post, Nahid had shared a post by Islamic preacher Abu Taha Muhammad, which included a statement saying, "The vile elements who are calling for the killing of Qawmi supporters—won't they be arrested?" This post led to public outrage among the Muslim community. However, shortly afterward, Nahid deleted the post.

Chilmari Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Mushahid Khan, confirmed that the case has been filed, and efforts are ongoing to arrest the accused. The police are actively searching for Nahid Hasan to bring him into custody.
