In Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, the forest department detained a dumper truck while it was cutting hill. Arresting somebody was not possible at this time. Officers from the forest division carried out the operation in the Ukhia neighborhood of Hati Mora (Killamora) on Tuesday, March 5, at 11 a.m.
After learning about the hill-cutting activity, the gang did stop, but they did leave the dumper truck that was bringing the hill soil. The tamper was then seized from the Forest Department.
The veracity was confirmed by Range Officer Gazi Shafiul Alam of the Ukhia Forest Division. The actual accused is the subject of an ongoing Forest Act prosecution.
