Lalmonirhat, Aug 17(V7N) – The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has sent back two Bangladeshi nationals through the Patgram border in Lalmonirhat.

The individuals, Ranu Molla from Kalia upazila in Narail district and Abu Bakkar Siddique from Bishambhar upazila in Sunamganj district, had reportedly entered India illegally via the Benapole border in Jessore about a year ago and were engaged in begging in the Gujarat area.

According to Alim Uddin, commander of the Paishattybari BOP under the 61 BGB Teesta Battalion, the two were handed over at border pillar 845-S on Saturday (August 16) and subsequently taken into custody by the Patgram police.

Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Patgram police station, confirmed that the individuals are currently in custody. Their families have been notified, and once their identities are fully verified, they will be handed over to their relatives.
