Bagerhat, Nov 08 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a rally and street meeting in Morelganj, Bagerhat, on Friday morning to commemorate National Revolution and Solidarity Day, observed nationwide on November 7.

The colorful procession began at 10 a.m. from the municipal park under the joint banner of the Upazila and Municipal BNP. It marched through several main roads in the town before ending with a brief street meeting at Chourasta Mor.

Dr. A.B.M. Obaidul Islam, BNP’s Central Education Affairs Secretary, addressed the gathering as the chief guest. The meeting was presided over by Upazila BNP President Shahidul Haque Babul. District BNP leader Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon, District BNP member Advocate Farhana Jaman Nipa, and Central Tati Dal Senior Joint Convener Dr. Kazi Moniruzzaman Monir also delivered speeches.

Among others present were former Municipal BNP President Abdul Majid Jabbar, current Municipal BNP President Shikdar Faridul Islam, General Secretary Asaduzzaman Milon, and Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary B.M. Rezaul Karim Sohag, along with leaders of other affiliated organizations.

Speakers highlighted the historical importance of November 7, describing it as a day of unity and patriotic spirit born from the 1975 revolution. They called upon BNP members and supporters to remain united under the leadership of future national leader Tarique Rahman, vowing to strengthen the movement and ensure victory for the BNP’s electoral symbol, the ‘Sheaf of Paddy,’ in upcoming elections.

The event concluded peacefully amid enthusiastic participation from party leaders, activists, and local residents.
