The dumper is Chayed Alam, son of Sultan Mia of Tuturbil village in Rajapalang Union of Ukhiya, according to local reports. Since the collision, the driver, Bappi, has fled the scene.
Syed Alam, the dumper's owner, was evading capture and could not be reached.
Following this occurrence, on Sunday morning at about 6:30 am, Divisional Forest Officer Sarwar Alam of Cox's Bazar South Forest Division paid a visit to the location.
Ukhiya Range Officer Gazi Shafiul Alam affirmed the deceased's veracity in this regard. He added that he is staying at the deceased patients' remains at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
