Meherpur, Mar 24 (V7N) – A scuffle broke out at a filling station in Gangni upazila of Meherpur over fuel distribution, leaving at least one person injured.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Rupak Filling Station in Gopalnagar village.

According to local sources, the situation escalated when an individual allegedly attempted to collect fuel using political influence without standing in line. This led to an argument between the filling station staff and people waiting in the queue, which later turned into a physical altercation.

Confirming the incident, Gangni Police Station Officer-in-Charge Uttam Kumar Das said that police were dispatched to the scene after receiving information. “The situation has been brought under control. Legal action will be taken after proper investigation,” he added.

Authorities are currently looking into the matter to determine the exact cause of the conflict.
