Harinakundu, May 27 (V7N)- Eid-ul-Azha congregations were held in several areas of Harinakundu upazila in Jhenaidah on Wednesday morning (May 27), with worshippers observing the festival in line with the timing of Saudi Arabia.
The main congregation was held at 9:30 am at the Nityanandanpur School Ground Jamaat Ghar, while additional Eid prayers were also organized in areas including Bhalki and Pairadanga.
Local worshippers said they have been following the Saudi Arabian Eid schedule for many years, and this year was no exception.
More than a hundred devotees from villages including Ghoshpur, Narayankandi, Baithapara, Boalia, Chatkabaria, Parfalsi, Nityanandanpur, Bhalki, and Pairadanga took part in the congregations.
The Imam, during the sermon, highlighted the spiritual significance of sacrifice, devotion, and obedience to Allah.
After the prayers, worshippers performed animal sacrifice in keeping with Eid-ul-Azha traditions.
