The second phase of the sixth upazila elections was held peacefully in Chatmohar, Bhangura, and Faridpur upazilas of Pabna district on Tuesday. Voting took place using the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) method from 8 AM to 4 PM, with a noticeably low voter turnout.

After counting all the votes on Tuesday night, Returning Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner Sharif Ahmed confirmed the results to Voice7 News at 11:30 PM.

With 39,334 votes, former mayor and Upazila Awami League joint general secretary Mirza Rezaul Karim Dulal (Pineapple) was unofficially elected chairman of Chatmohar Upazila. Advocate Saidul Islam Chowdhury (Horse), his closest rival, garnered 5,162 votes. 18.01% of voters in this upazila cast ballots.

For the position of male vice-chairman in Chatmohar, Saidul Islam (Tubewell) won with 25,022 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Asaduzzaman Panna (Glasses), who received 12,763 votes. Other candidates, Obaidul Islam (Airplane) and Humayun Kabir (Lock), received 4,908 and 1,983 votes, respectively.

Firoza Parveen (football) was elected female vice-chairman in Chatmohar with 19,719 votes, narrowly beating her closest rival Sabina Yasmin (pitcher), who received 19,414 votes. Another candidate, Arefin Akhtar Lili (Duck), received 6,275 votes.

In Bhangura upazila, Golam Hasnain Russell (Motorcycle), the son of a local MP and general secretary of the Upazila Awami League, was unofficially elected chairman with 31,559 votes. His nearest competitor, M. Mesbahur Rahman Roz (Horse), received 2,679 votes, while another candidate, Md. Bakibillah (Pineapple), received 541 votes. Voter turnout in this upazila was 33.79%.

Golam Hafiz (Tubewell) was elected male vice-chairman in Bhangura with 30,813 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Sajjadur Rahman (Lock), who received 3,192 votes.

Ajida Parveen Akhi (Duck) was elected female vice-chairman in Bhangura with 19,182 votes, beating her closest competitor, Kaniz Fatema (Football), who received 11,203 votes. Another candidate, Amena Khatun (Pitcher), received 4,342 votes.

In Faridpur upazila, Khilur Rahman Sarkar (Ink Pot and Pen), president of the Upazila Awami League, was unofficially elected chairman with 12,555 votes. His closest rival, Abul Kalam Azad (a motorcycle), received 12,400 votes. Other candidates included Ali Ashraful Kabir (Helicopter) with 5,416 votes, Abdul Halim (Climbing Fish) with 5,114 votes, Nurul Islam (Cup and Saucer) with 2,372 votes, Mohammad Hedaitullah (Horse) with 2,212 votes, and Golam Hossain Golap (Pineapple) with 1,932 votes. Voter turnout in this upazila was 37.46%.

Abdul Gafur Pramanik (Airplane) was elected male vice-chairman in Faridpur with 18,665 votes, defeating his nearest rival Ziaur Rahman (Lock), who received 14,685 votes. Another candidate, Said Mohammad Abul Ehsan (Glasses), received 8,629 votes.

Nasrin Alam (Pitcher) was elected female vice-chairman in Faridpur with 24,909 votes, beating her closest competitor, Nasrin Parveen (Football), who received 17,089 votes.
