Rangamati June-6,(V7N)- Efforts have been made to facilitate government services related to land for the citizens of the hills through various initiatives by the Rangamati district administration, said District Administrator Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan. He mentioned that residents of any remote upazila or union in the hills can receive solutions to any land-related issues by applying online in the morning and receiving assistance in the evening.
 
From June 8th to June 12th, Rangamati will observe Land Week with a focus on an event organized on Thursday (June 6th) afternoon. The district administrator of Rangamati stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, one of the key areas of Smart Bangladesh development is to provide all land-related services to the people through smart methods.
 
Taking forward the slogan 'Smart Land Services, Smart Citizens', the Government of Bangladesh has decided to celebrate the Land Service Week 2024 nationwide from June 8th to 12th, 2024. As part of this, an initiative has been taken to observe Land Service Week in Rangamati district from June 8th to June 12th, 2024.
 
The district administrator informed that various initiatives have been taken by the Rangamati district administration recently to simplify land services and address various complex issues faced by residents of this region.
 
These initiatives include:
 
Rapid provision of land registration copies, with applications received in the morning processed by the evening of the next working day.
In cases of land registration copies for various purposes such as partition and inheritance, initiatives have been taken with the assistance of the Land and Headman's Office.
 
Exemption of bank loan-free certificates for applications for name registration and encumbrance.
Setting specific timeframes for expeditious processing of name registration applications at each stage.
Verification of original documents by the Land Office instead of near relatives during name registration application.
Verification of Gazette employees for encumbrance applications instead of by designated bank managers.
Designation of necessary documents for name registration and encumbrance applications to land offices.
 
Preparation of application forms to simplify name registration.
Mandatory submission of certified land registration copies obtained within 6 months to mitigate harassment in name registration and encumbrance applications.
During the press conference, it was announced that Land Service Booths will be set up in the premises of the district administrator's office during Land Week to provide immediate land services to the residents of Rangamati.
 
These booths will facilitate: (1) Payment of land development fees, (2) Receipt of name registration applications, (3) Receipt of encumbrance applications and issuance of permission letters, (4) Acceptance and issuance of land registration applications, (5) Issuance of noting copies, (6) Completion of registration of approved name registration cases, (7) Preparation of noting for approved name registration cases, and (8) Providing direct answers to various questions related to services received.
 
Present at the event were Additional District Administrator (Revenue) Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud, Additional District Magistrate Jobaida Akter, Assistant Magistrate Neli Rudro, and President of the Press Club Sakhaowat Hossain Rubel, along with media personnel from all levels in Rangamati.
