Patuakhali, June 24 (V7N) - A Russell's viper was caught in a farmer's net in Kalapara, Patuakhali. The snake, measuring 5 feet in length, got entangled in a net set over a pond at the home of Md. Nuru Khan in the Isrampur village of Purbo Baulotoli, Dhalasar Union, around noon on Monday (June 24).
The farmer injured the snake with a stick and then preserved it alive in a large plastic container. Curious locals gathered to get a glimpse of the snake. Meanwhile, members of the Animal Lovers of Patuakhali's Kalapara team are attempting to rescue the snake.
Bayezid Munshi, a member of the Animal Lovers of Patuakhali's Kalapara team, stated that their team is working to rescue the snake from the location. After initial treatment, the snake will be handed over to the Forest Department.
