Dhaka, Sep 10 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Islamic Chhatra Shibir-backed United Students Alliance has secured a landslide victory in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections, winning 23 out of 28 posts, including Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS), and Assistant General Secretary (AGS). Independent candidates claimed the remaining five posts.
The official results were announced by Chief Election Commissioner Professor Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin at the DU Senate Building around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
Among the independent winners were:

Zubair Bin Nesari – Social Service Secretary, 7,608 votes

Musaddiq Ali Ibne Mohammad – Literature and Cultural Secretary, 7,782 votes

Sanjida Ahmed Tonbi – Research and Publication Secretary, 11,708 votes

Ummu Uswatun Rafia – Member
Meanwhile, Sadiq Kayem won the VP post, SM Farhad the GS post, and Mohiuddin Khan the AGS post, all by significant margins.
This year, a total of 39,874 students were eligible to vote, including 18,959 female students and 20,915 male students.
The DUCSU elections, held after a long interval, concluded in a festive and largely peaceful atmosphere across the campus.
