Dhaka, Sep 14 (V7N) – The first meeting of the newly elected Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Executive Council was held on Sunday morning in a room adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan of Dhaka University. Newly elected DUCSU Vice-President (VP) Sadiq Kayem, General Secretary (GS) SM Farhad, Assistant General Secretary (AGS) Mohiuddin Khan, and other council members were present.

At the conclusion of the session, it was announced that the names of five student representatives have been forwarded as members of the Dhaka University Senate. They are:

  • DUCSU VP Sadiq Kayem
  • GS SM Farhad
  • AGS Mohiuddin Khan
  • Sabikunnahar Tamanna, the highest vote-getter among members
  • Transport Secretary Asif Abdullah

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, DUCSU VP Sadiq Kayem said:

 “Work for the students has officially started from today. We will work to solve their problems and fulfill their expectations.”

The meeting had earlier been announced in a press release issued on Saturday by DUCSU General Secretary SM Farhad.
