Dhaka, Mar 05 (V7N) – The Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2026 is currently underway at the Bangla Academy premises, attracting a steady flow of readers, writers, and literary enthusiasts. The fair runs daily from 2 pm to 9 pm, showcasing a wide array of new publications.

According to the Bangla Academy’s official website, several notable new releases have arrived at the fair on Thursday (March 5):

  • Piyas Majid – Nirbachit Kobita, a collection of poems, published by Panjeri Publications Ltd., priced at 600 taka.

  • Faridur Reza Sagar, cultural figure and journalist – Chhotakaku Series: Meherpurer Mohar and Chhotakaku Series: Gazipure Golaguli, children’s literature books published by Ananya Publications, priced at 200 taka each.

  • Deyan Salauddin Babu – a biography recounting his life in prison, published by Haridwar Publications, priced at 270 taka.

  • Dr. Sadiqul Islam Swapan – July Mass Uprising August Revolution, a political book published by Heritage, priced at 540 taka.

The fair, which began on February 26, will continue until March 15. On regular days, visitors can enter from 2 pm to 9 pm, with the last entry at 8:30 pm. On holidays, the fair operates from 11 am to 9 pm.
