Dhaka, May 20 (V7N) — University of Dhaka authorities have announced a 10-day closure of university offices on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, aligning the schedule with the government-declared public holidays.
According to a notification issued on Wednesday (May 20) and signed by the university’s Public Relations Office Director Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, the office holiday for teachers, officials, and employees will remain in effect from May 22 to May 31.
Meanwhile, students of the university will receive a longer break combining the Eid vacation and the annual summer recess.
The notice stated that the student holiday will continue until June 21, with academic activities scheduled to resume on June 22.
Earlier, the government announced a seven-day Eid-ul-Azha holiday for government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices from May 25 to May 31.
