Dhaka, Jul 01 (V7N) — The 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin across Bangladesh on Thursday (July 2), with authorities implementing enhanced security measures to prevent question paper leaks and examination malpractice.

A total of 1,267,486 candidates from 11 education boards have registered for this year's examinations. The Dhaka Education Board has the highest number of candidates. Nationwide, examinations will be held at 2,697 centres, while the Dhaka Board will conduct exams at 310 centres.

The Bangla First Paper examination will be held on the opening day under the country's nine general education boards. The exam will begin at 10:00 am and continue until 1:00 pm.

Education authorities have instructed all candidates to enter their examination centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

To ensure a fair, transparent and malpractice-free examination environment, the education boards have issued comprehensive guidelines covering centre management, question paper security, candidate entry procedures, and examination hall supervision.

According to the schedule, the written examinations will continue from July 2 to August 8, while practical examinations will be conducted afterward and conclude by August 15.
