HABIGANJ, July 31 (V7N) — Education authorities have issued show-cause notices to the headteacher and all assistant teachers of Shimulghar Government Primary School in Madhabpur upazila, Habiganj, for allegedly dismissing students before the scheduled closing time.

According to the notice, signed by Assistant Upazila Education Officer Kabir Hossain of the Ratanpur Cluster, local sources reported that on Tuesday at around 3:30 p.m., the school ended classes early without following the official timetable. The notice also alleges that the headteacher and all teaching staff left the school premises before the prescribed closing time, in violation of government regulations.

The education office has asked the headteacher, Rondhir Roy, and the assistant teachers to explain within three working days why departmental action should not be taken against them for the alleged misconduct. The notice warns that legal and administrative action may follow if they fail to provide a satisfactory written explanation within the specified deadline.

Assistant Upazila Education Officer Kabir Hossain confirmed that the notices were issued on Thursday. He said the authorities would review the teachers' responses before deciding on any further action.

When contacted for comment, Headteacher Rondhir Roy declined to respond to the allegations.
