The HSC and equivalent exams have commenced nationwide, except in Sylhet division where they will start on July 9 due to flooding, as announced by the Ministry of Education. Students under the Sylhet Board will undertake Bangla-I, II, and English-I, II papers following a newly adjusted schedule outlined by Sylhet Education Board Chairman Rama Bijoy Sarkar.
Approximately 14,50,790 students from nine general Education Boards, Madrasha Board, and Technical Board are anticipated to participate in exams across 9,463 educational institutions at 2,275 centers nationwide. Last year, a total of 13,59,342 students sat for these exams across all boards.
The HSC written exams will continue until August 11, with practical exams scheduled from August 12 to August 21. Meanwhile, Technical Board exams will conclude by July 18, with practical exams starting on July 19 and running through August 4.
To ensure a smooth process, examinees are required to arrive at exam centers 30 minutes before the start time and will receive their question paper codes via SMS 25 minutes prior to commencement. Strict regulations prohibit mobile phones within exam centers, except for designated personnel.
Access to exam centers is restricted to examinees, invigilators, ministry and board teams, local and upazila administration, and security personnel. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Quick Response Team remains on standby to assist throughout the exam period.
