Tangail, July 2 (V7N)- Due to allegations of fraud, corruption, irregularities, and deception in filling out forms with extra money, 22 affected students of Nikrail Shamsher Fakir Degree College in Bhuapur, Tangail, along with their families and local residents, held a human chain demanding the immediate dismissal of the involved teachers, including the lecturer of the Bangla department, Lokman Hossain, and the opportunity to take the ongoing HSC exam.
 
On Tuesday (July 2), even on the day of the Bangla second paper exam, these 22 students of Nikrail Shamsher Fakir Degree College organized this human chain as they could not participate in the exam. The human chain started from the Nikrail Palshia Rani Dinmoni High School exam center. Later, the students hurled bricks and attacked the college. The police intervened and brought the situation under control.
 
The affected students stated that their dreams and their families' dreams were being washed away in tears. The corrupt teacher, Bangla department lecturer Lokman Hossain, deceived us by taking extra money from 22 students for filling out the forms. Due to the negligence of the college authorities, we were deprived of the exam. We want to take the exam, and we demand the expulsion of the fraudulent Lokman.
 
In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Mamunur Rashid stated that the 22 students who could not sit for the ongoing HSC exams held a human chain on Tuesday morning. Due to illegal form filling, their application was canceled by the education board authorities. Additionally, the college management committee will take action against the involved teacher, and it will be sent to the higher relevant authorities after investigation.
 
On June 29, these 22 students went to the college to collect their admit cards but did not receive them. They were then pushed out of the college, they reported. On the morning of Sunday (June 30), before the start of the exam, they locked the gate and protested, causing damage at the Nikrail Palshia Rani Dinmoni High School exam center. During this time, there were confrontations with the on-duty police.
 
With the deployment of additional police and the administration's assurance to solve the problem, the students suspended their movement and left the center. However, the students alleged that the police beat them without any reason. This year, 171 students from Nikrail Shamsher Fakir Degree College are participating in the exam, but despite paying extra money, these 22 students could not participate.
