Dhaka, Nov 01 (V7N) — World-renowned musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is set to perform free of charge at a charity concert in Dhaka titled "Echoes of Revolution" on December 21. The concert, to be held at the capital's Army Stadium, aims to raise funds for the "Shaheed July Memorial Foundation," supporting the families of martyrs and those injured during the July Uprising.

This information was shared at a press conference held at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Friday. The organizers, Spirits of July, confirmed that Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has waived his performance fee, and the equivalent amount will be donated to assist the families affected by the tragic events.

In addition to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's performance, popular Bangladeshi bands including Artsail, Chirkut, Ashes, and Aftermath, along with rap artists Sejan and Hannan, will also perform at the concert for a small fee. The concert will feature a blend of music, stage plays, graffiti exhibitions highlighting the July Revolution, and an enchanting water zone to engage visitors.

Tickets for the concert will be available from the first week of December, with three pricing categories to be announced shortly. To ensure transparency in the use of the concert proceeds, an advisory council consisting of esteemed teachers and experts from Dhaka University and Bardem Hospital has been established.

The concert is organized by the students of Dhaka University, with Prime Bank acting as the title sponsor. Prime Bank's Deputy Managing Director Ziaur Rahman and members of the organizing team attended the press conference.

This event is not just a musical celebration but a humanitarian effort to honor the victims of the July Uprising while supporting the families of the fallen and injured.
