Lima, Feb 17 (V7N) – Latin pop superstar Shakira has been hospitalized due to severe abdominal pain, forcing her to cancel a scheduled concert in Lima, Peru.

The Colombian singer confirmed the news in a social media post, expressing her regret over the situation. "I am very sorry to inform you that last night I had to go to the emergency room due to stomach pain. I am currently hospitalized," she wrote on her official X (formerly Twitter) account.

According to reports, Shakira was admitted to a local clinic late Saturday night, where doctors diagnosed her with gastritis. Following medical treatment, she has been discharged but remains under observation as she continues her recovery.
