Chennai, Mar 16 (V7N) – Renowned Indian music composer and singer AR Rahman was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday morning after experiencing chest pain and dehydration.
According to reports from Indian media, the 57-year-old artist was taken to the hospital on Greams Road at around 7:30 AM, where he underwent initial tests, including an ECG. Sources stated that Rahman had recently returned from London and had been fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, which may have contributed to his condition.
His son, AR Ameen, later provided an update, confirming that Rahman was hospitalized due to dehydration and general weakness but is now recovering well. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also assured the public that the musician's condition was stable and that he would be back home soon.
Following treatment and medical observation, AR Rahman was discharged and is currently resting at home. His fans and well-wishers have expressed relief at his recovery, flooding social media with prayers and messages of support.
