Dhaka, Apr 14 (V7N) – The New Year’s Concert marking Pahela Boishakh celebrations has begun with enthusiasm at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital. The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture and technically supported by the Chinese Embassy, is being implemented by the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The program, which started this Monday afternoon, promises to entertain crowds with a blend of music, tradition, and technology. A wide range of performers—from budding local talents to well-known names—are captivating audiences from afternoon until night.
The festivities began with the performance of young artists from the Basic Guitar Learning School, followed by a tribal singing group from Bandarban, showcasing Bangladesh’s cultural diversity.
Crowd-favorite band Rafi and Rockers (R&R) took the stage next, energizing the audience with hit numbers like ‘Guru Ghar Banaila Ki Diya’ and ‘Sundari Choli Eka Pothe’.
Later in the day, artists Mithun Chakra and Jalal Ahmed performed around 4:30 PM, adding a soulful touch to the celebration.
