Mumbai, 3 July 2024- In a shocking revelation, Mumbai Police have disclosed that a contract worth INR 25 lakh was made by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi to assassinate Bollywood star Salman Khan. This information came to light through an Indian media report and was confirmed in a new charge sheet filed by Mumbai Police.
A few months ago, two men fired shots at Salman Khan's house and fled. It was later discovered that the attack was orchestrated by Lawrence Bishnoi, whose intent was to kill Khan.
The new charge sheet accuses five individuals of planning the assassination of Salman Khan. These individuals are reportedly linked to the Bishnoi gang and face charges of conspiracy and other offenses. According to the charge sheet, the Bishnoi gang contracted them to eliminate Khan for INR 25 lakh.
The plan to kill Salman Khan was meticulously crafted over several months, from August 2023 to April 2024. Police investigations revealed that the gang had imported various weapons from Pakistan, including AK-47, AK-92, and M16 rifles, as well as Turkey's Zigana pistols. Notably, a Zigana pistol was used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala on May 29, 2022.
The conspiracy involved an extensive surveillance operation with 60-70 men assigned to monitor Salman Khan's movements. These men, all under the age of 18, were hired to follow Khan and were awaiting orders to carry out the assassination.
On April 14, miscreants opened fire in front of Salman Khan's house. The Indian police acted swiftly, arresting the two shooters within 48 hours. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two more individuals involved in the plot. Recently, another person linked to the conspiracy has been apprehended, bringing the total number of arrested individuals to five.
The Mumbai Police continue to investigate the case, uncovering more details about the gang's activities and their extensive plans to target the Bollywood superstar.
