Bangladesh witnessed an increase of 37 new COVID-19 cases in the span of 24 hours as reported till Sunday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), this brings the country's total COVID-19 caseload to 2,048,588.

During this period, no new fatalities were reported, keeping the official death toll at 29,491.

The daily case test positivity rate was recorded at 6.22 percent based on 595 samples tested, as informed by the DGHS.

The recovery rate remains steady at 98.39 percent, while the death rate remains at 1.44 percent.
