Mymensingh, May 6 (V7N): In a significant administrative move, six officers-in-charge (OCs) from various police stations in Mymensingh district have been transferred in a simultaneous order issued by the Police Headquarters. The directive was signed by Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG) Md. Minhajul Alam from the Personnel Management-2 branch.
The transfer orders, issued in two separate notifications on Sunday and Monday, state that the decision was made "in the public interest." According to the circulars, the affected police stations include Kotwali Model Police Station, Gauripur, Bhaluka, Nandail, Haluaghat, and Muktagacha.
On Monday, four OCs were reassigned under a fresh directive, while the remaining two were transferred under a previous order issued on Sunday.
Police sources suggest that such reshuffles are part of routine administrative restructuring, often aimed at enhancing efficiency, accountability, or in response to local concerns. However, the sudden transfer of multiple key officers across a district has drawn attention and sparked speculation among local observers.
As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the specific reasons behind the move or who will be replacing the outgoing officers.
This reshuffle comes amid a period of heightened administrative activity within law enforcement bodies across the country, possibly signaling broader internal reforms or shifts in local policing strategy.
