Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received a courtesy call from ambassadors and high commissioners of the following countries: Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Argentina, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, Libya, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Palestine.
According to a statement from the PM's Press Wing, they congratulated Sheikh Hasina on behalf of their respective nations after the Awami League emerged victorious in the 12th National Parliamentary Election. The envoys also delivered Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina the congratulations letters from their respective heads of state and governments.
They voiced hope that Bangladesh, under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's direction, will grow into a developed and rich nation.
The envoys reaffirmed their determination to see through Bangladeshi cooperation on behalf of their respective nations.
The high commissioners and ambassadors were thanked by the prime minister.
She also expressed her gratitude to the leaders of state and governments of all allies for their unwavering support of the Bangladeshi people and government.
Bangladesh's development and advancement would continue to benefit from friendly countries' cooperation, as underlined by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the days ahead.
