Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N)— BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed submitted a formal complaint to the Commission of Inquiry concerning enforced disappearances, demanding justice and accountability. The complaint was handed over on Tuesday morning to the head of the commission at its office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Speaking to the media after submitting the complaint, Salahuddin Ahmed expressed frustration over the lack of visible action on these cases. He announced that a case would soon be filed in the International Criminal Tribunal (ICT) to address the issues of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.

During his statement, Ahmed held high-profile figures accountable, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, calling for all those involved in the incidents to be brought to justice. "We demand that the responsible individuals face trial," he said, reflecting the BNP's stance on these human rights issues.

The issue of disappearances has been a point of contention in Bangladesh's political landscape, with opposition parties frequently raising concerns about extrajudicial practices and the need for greater accountability.
