Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N)- National Citizen’s Committee Convener Nasiruddin Patwari lauded BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as a crucial force in the July-August mass movement. Nasiruddin affirmed the committee’s commitment to protect Fakhrul and other BNP leaders from harm, emphasizing its dedication to safeguarding those involved in the movement.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Nasiruddin urged unity among all parties engaged in the uprising, acknowledging potential differences in approaches to dismantling what he described as the “fascist system.” He highlighted the need to respect those who stood alongside them in the struggle and called on citizens to contribute to building a resilient Bangladesh, reaffirming the committee’s focus on safeguarding sovereignty, education, food security, and environmental welfare.

Another committee member, Bin Yamin Mollah, cautioned against allowing “fascist forces” to regain control and stressed their exclusion from future elections, even as individual candidates. He emphasized that any resurgence of violence against citizens would be met with resistance, urging the government to ensure accountability for Awami League members and deliver justice.
