Dhaka, Dec 13 (V7N)- Sarjis Alam, chief organizer of the National Citizens Committee and coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, has alleged that North Bengal has faced injustice in various sectors during Sheikh Hasina's tenure.
Speaking at a discussion organized by the Chapainawabganj Forum at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital on Friday morning, Sarjis Alam highlighted the neglect faced by the region.
He expressed concern over the resurgence of processions and slogans in support of alleged perpetrators of past violence, stating, "Processions and slogans are being held in the name of the murderers because most people in the country have forgotten the July coup."
Sarjis Alam also criticized individuals prioritizing personal interests despite the sacrifices made to bring about change, calling on everyone to stay united to address the current challenges and ensure justice for the region.
The discussion shed light on the persistent concerns over equitable development and fair representation for North Bengal, urging policymakers and citizens to address these disparities.
