Thakurgaon, Dec 24 (V7N) — BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared that individuals involved in genocide will not be accepted into the BNP. He made this statement while distributing winter clothes to those affected by the cold at the Thakurgaon Press Club on Tuesday morning.

In response to questions from reporters regarding Awami League leaders joining the BNP in various districts, Mirza Fakhrul stated, "I am not aware of this. However, our chairman, Tareq Rahman, has issued clear instructions that no one involved in terrorism, genocide, or corruption will be accepted into the BNP."

Addressing the path to combating corruption and fascism in the country, the BNP leader emphasised the importance of establishing democracy. "People's rule must be ensured, and the country must be governed by a parliament elected by the people. I am not aware of any other solution," he said.

The BNP has recently intensified its activities across the country, aiming to strengthen its position as the opposition and uphold its commitment to transparency and democratic values.
