Dhaka, Jan 06 (V7N) — BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to travel to London by air ambulance at 10 PM tomorrow for advanced medical treatment, according to her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

During a briefing at his Gulshan office on Monday afternoon, Dr. Zahid shared that the BNP Chairperson will be accompanied by six members of her medical board and personal staff. Additionally, four doctors from the Royal Air Ambulance team will ensure her well-being throughout the journey.

Upon her arrival in London, Khaleda Zia will be admitted to a specialised clinic, where further medical decisions will be made based on the advice of her attending physicians. Tarique Rahman, the BNP’s acting chairman, and his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman, are expected to receive her at the airport.

Dr. Zahid added that Khaleda Zia has requested prayers from the people of Bangladesh for her swift recovery and safe return.

This trip comes amid growing concerns about the former Prime Minister's health, which has been a matter of public and political discourse in recent months.
