London, Jan 10 (V7N) — Former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is currently receiving medical treatment at The London Clinic in Britain under the supervision of specialist doctor Patrick Kennedy. Her treatment began on Wednesday afternoon, with ongoing tests and monitoring by the medical team.
On Thursday afternoon, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman visited the clinic to check on his mother. Arriving in a black Land Rover, Tarique Rahman walked a short distance to enter the clinic, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.
Khaleda Zia's granddaughter, Zaima Rahman, also spent time with her on the first night at the clinic. According to sources, while Begum Zia is stable, she is facing some difficulty adjusting to the sudden change in weather.
Doctors at the clinic are continuing thorough health assessments, and she has been under observation multiple times. However, no official update on her condition has been shared with the media yet. It is anticipated that a statement regarding her health and treatment progress will be released soon.
Khaleda Zia arrived in London on January 8 for advanced medical care and was admitted to The London Clinic shortly after her arrival.
