Tarique, Fakhrul, Khasru invited to Trump's 'National Prayer Breakfast' in Feb

Dhaka, Jan 11 (V7N) —US President-elect Donald Trump has invited BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury to attend the National Prayer Breakfast.

Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the media cell of the BNP chairperson, confirmed the matter to media.

The event is scheduled for 6 February in Washington DC, USA, according to the website of the National Prayer Breakfast Foundation.
The yearly event held usually on the first Thursday in February, is organised under the leadership of the US Congress.

The event, which is a series of meetings, luncheons, and dinners, is attended yearly by some 3,500 guests, including international invitees from over 100 countries.

Donald Trump is scheduled to be sworn in as the 47th president of the US on 20 January.
