Khulna Feb 24 (V7N)- BNP's acting chairman Tareq Rahman said that those of us who have fought against fascism for a long time should not argue over unnecessary small issues. So that the unity among us will be broken and fascism will return again.

The fugitive fascism will want to destroy the unity among us. Everyone should be vigilant about this.

Tareq Zia said that Awami League has destroyed all the democratic institutions of the country in the last 16 years. There was no freedom of expression of people and social and political rights were taken away.

Now it is necessary to establish democracy everywhere. To organize a fair election in the country so that the people can vote and elect their representatives.

The main task now is to restore the right to vote of the people.

Tareq Rahman said that if there is a fair election, BNP will win. However, the leaders and workers should not sit at home just because of this.  Leaders and activists must be responsible and acceptable. They must stand by the people in their happiness and sorrow.

He said that several lakhs of BNP people have been filed as missing persons cases to bring back democracy. Thousands of BNP leaders and workers have been murdered and disappeared. On July 24, about two thousand students were martyred and several thousand students were injured. Their blood must be paid for.

He said that the Awami League has destroyed the country. It has thrown the country on the edge of a ditch.

Now everyone must pull the country together.

We must work hand in hand for development in all aspects of food, clothing, education, communication and medical care.

He delivered his speech as the chief guest while participating virtually in the Khulna Metropolitan Conference of BNP in Khulna today.
