Dhaka, Mar 06 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir returned home on Thursday after spending four days under medical care at a private hospital in Dhaka. He was discharged at noon, confirmed the party’s media wing.

Mirza Fakhrul was admitted to the hospital on March 2 after feeling unwell following his attendance at a book launch event at Suhrawardy Udyan book fair. BNP sources reported that exposure to dust triggered his illness, leading to respiratory issues, chest congestion, and a drop in sodium levels. Doctors advised hospitalization for observation and treatment.

Following medical care, the BNP leader is now reported to be in stable health.

Meanwhile, BNP is set to host an iftar ceremony in honor of diplomats at a five-star hotel in Dhaka today. There is a possibility that Mirza Fakhrul will attend the event, although no official confirmation has been provided.
