Dhaka, Mar 12 (V7N) – BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk has emphasized the need for a neutral national parliamentary election and a swift transfer of power to resolve the country’s ongoing political crisis.

Speaking at a civic sit-in program organized by the Democracy Forum at the Press Club on Wednesday morning, Abdin Faruk underscored the urgency of ensuring fair elections.

He also addressed the emergence of the Jatiya Nagorik Party and its stance on the Constituent Assembly and National Parliament elections. He warned that the "ghost of fascists" still looms over the country, making free and fair elections crucial to meeting the aspirations of the people.

Faruk urged authorities to quickly present a roadmap for the national elections and demanded immediate action on pressing national issues, including public security, violence, and incidents of rape.
