Dhaka, Mar 15 (V7N) – National Citizens Party Convener Nahid Islam has emphasized that fundamental reforms must be carried out by the interim government before elections can be effective.
Speaking at a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Saturday, Nahid Islam asserted,
"The fundamental foundation of reforms must be laid during this government's term. Elections will not be useful without reforms."
He also highlighted the National Citizens Party's stance on reforms, the trial of genocide, and the importance of the Constituent Assembly and constitutional amendments.
