Dhaka, Apr 06 (V7N) – The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced a nationwide protest in all educational institutions on Tuesday (April 8) to condemn the ongoing Israeli military aggression in Gaza and Rafah, calling it a barbaric massacre.

In a press release issued on Sunday, JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir unveiled the protest program. According to the announcement, students across the country will stand in front of their respective educational institutions at 10:30 AM with black cloths tied over their faces, symbolizing mourning and protest.

Additionally, at 12 noon, protest processions will be brought out in all major cities from each institution, followed by rallies denouncing Israeli atrocities.

In their joint statement, the JCD leaders condemned the “indescribable brutality” of Israel’s military operations in Gaza and Rafah and said the global silence and indifference in the face of such carnage is equally inhumane. “The international community’s failure to stop the massacre reflects a grave moral failure,” they stated.

The JCD also extended its solidarity with the global campaign ‘The World Stops for Gaza’, scheduled for Monday, and expressed deep sympathy for the martyred and injured Palestinians.

Calling upon the public to join in the protest, the student organization urged all to raise their voice against Israel’s inhumane aggression and show solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine.

This comes amid growing international outrage and a rising death toll in Gaza, where Israeli attacks have intensified in recent weeks.
