Dhaka, Apr 19 (V7N)- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the future of Bangladesh will be shaped by the people of the country—not by India, America, or China.
He made the remarks while addressing a program at NorthSouth University in the capital on Saturday morning.
“Despite having differing opinions and ideologies, the people of this country—across all classes and professions—have come together in times of national crisis, including during the movements of 1971 and 2024,” said Fakhrul.
He emphasized that democracy cannot be imposed from outside, and that democratic practice is essential for the nation's bright and sustainable future.
The BNP leader also extended his well wishes to the current interim government, expressing hope for its success. He urged everyone to unite for the sake of the country and democracy, setting aside political divisions.
