Dhaka, Apr 19 (V7N)- GM Quader, Chairman of the Jatiya Party (JP), has accused forces of conspiring to prevent the party from implementing its programs, asserting that efforts are being made to keep JP out of the political landscape. Quader made these statements following an extended meeting at the party's office in Banani in the capital on Saturday (April 19).
Quader stated, “There is a conspiracy to keep JP away from politics. In such a situation, our leaders and activists must stay on the field. We will not leave the field under any circumstances. If necessary, we will all go to jail together.” He emphasized the commitment of the JP members to persist in their political activities despite the ongoing challenges.
He also addressed the economic crisis facing the country, noting, “The country’s economic situation is very bad. It will only worsen in the future. The government does not have enough funds to run the state, and that’s why participatory elections are crucial for the economy, investment, and overall security and stability of the nation.”
Quader also remarked that the government is providing excessive support to its own party, further fueling political tensions. “If the current situation persists, the government will end up in the same position as Sheikh Hasina,” he added.
The JP Chairman also responded to recent efforts to tarnish the party’s reputation, declaring, “Some people are spreading propaganda and defaming JP. Now is the time to clear that defamation. No opportunist will come to lead the party. Those who are committed and can work at the grassroots level are the future of the party.”
