Dhaka, May 06 (V7N) – The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has arrested Amirul Islam Milon, former Member of Parliament for Bagerhat-4 constituency, along with nine members of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations.

The arrests were confirmed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Muhammad Talebur Rahman on Tuesday morning. He stated that the former MP and others were detained during a DB operation conducted in the capital.

While confirming the arrest, the police official did not disclose the specific charges or the case under which they were apprehended. “Details will be shared later,” said the DMP spokesperson.

The news has drawn significant attention, given the political profile of the detainees. The reason behind the arrest is expected to be clarified in an upcoming official briefing.
