Dhaka, July 26 (V7N) – A delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited the residence of Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam, who was martyred in a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash, to offer condolences to his grieving family.
The delegation arrived at the family's residence in Dhaka Cantonment at 4 PM on Friday. Flight Lieutenant Taukir’s father Mohammad Tohurul Islam, mother Mosammat Saleha Khatun, wife Aksha Ahmed Nijhum, and other family members were present during the visit.
Mirza Fakhrul was accompanied by several senior BNP leaders, including BNP Vice Chairman and former Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal (Retd) Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Major General (Retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar, and Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam.
During the meeting, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family through the delegation. The party expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam and acknowledged his service and sacrifice for the country.
