Dhaka, Aug 09 (V7N) – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has accused former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of engaging in activities aimed at destabilizing Bangladesh from abroad and called for her to be “pushed back” into the country.
Speaking at a rally organized by the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front at the National Press Club on Friday, Rizvi alleged that neighboring India has given shelter to Sheikh Hasina while Bengali-speaking Muslims there are “unable to survive” and are being pushed into Bangladesh. “So why not push her back?” he questioned.
Rizvi claimed that Sheikh Hasina, “unable to control herself,” is making contradictory statements from India and cited a BBC report alleging she has opened an office in Kolkata to carry out “anti-Bangladesh activities.” He accused her of attempting to destabilize the nation by acting as a “mastermind” of conspiracies.
He further alleged that Sheikh Hasina fled the country “on the back of a public uprising fueled by the blood of students and the masses” but continues plotting against Bangladesh. Referring to last year’s Durga Puja, he said, “There were various conspiracies, but we dealt with them unitedly.”
Rizvi asserted that despite political persecution, attacks, and lawsuits, no BNP leaders have fled the country—unlike Sheikh Hasina.
