Barisal, Aug 29 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said the upcoming National Parliament elections, scheduled for February, will pave the way for the re-establishment of democracy in Bangladesh.

He made the remarks on Friday morning while inaugurating the Small and Cottage Industries Fair at the Barisal District Shilpakala Academy.

Amir Khasru stated, “BNP is preparing for the election. Everyone is waiting to cast their vote. Through this election, the people will elect their representatives and government. They will have the opportunity to hold public representatives accountable and ensure responsible governance.”

Speaking on the economic front, he emphasized the importance of empowering the common people. “Earlier, the economy was concentrated in the hands of a few. Now, small industries, including cottage industries, should be promoted and given access to the international market. This will contribute to the overall prosperity of Bangladesh,” he added.
