Dhaka, Sep 02 (V7N) – Rashed Khan, General Secretary of the People's Rights Council, met party president Nurul Haque Nur at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Tuesday, where Nur remains under treatment after sustaining serious injuries in Friday’s clash.

Rashed became emotional while speaking to reporters after the visit. “I went to the hospital and saw that Nur’s nose is still bleeding. Blood comes out when he coughs. He cannot speak,” he said. “He was struggling to say a few words. Nur told me, Brother, I am in great pain.

In addition to political parties, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus also met leaders of the People's Rights Council and Nur’s wife, Maria Akhter Luna. According to Rashed, Dr. Yunus expressed deep concern over the incident. “He said the boy who was beaten so many times during the Awami League era has been attacked again in the same way during our era,” Rashed added.

Nur’s wife, Luna, told reporters that the Chief Advisor expressed regret and assured her that the culprits would be brought to justice. “He advised us not to worry and said Nur will be taken abroad for treatment. The government will also support him in all other needs,” she said.

Civil rights leaders, including Advisor Dr. Asif Nazrul, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, and Adilur Rahman, were also present at the meeting.
